Hiking and Geocaching are excellent ways to enjoy the outdoors, de-stress, and increase physical activity to increase health and wellness. Here are some tips to keep you safe and ache-free:

  1. Wear good and appropriate shoes. Your feet are your foundation. Supporting your feet can prevent many other bodily aches and pains, like hip, back, and neck. If you are hiking on firm ground, wear supportive, cushioned shoes; if you are hiking on shifting or sandy terrain, wear flexible shoes.

  2. Take a moment to stretch after you’ve warmed up!

  3. Stay hydrated and bring a healthy snack!

  4. Bring a friend! If you are concerned about cell or GPS availability, make sure someone not present knows your plans.

  5. Use a non-toxic tick/mosquito repellent on yourself and your pets.

You may find that despite your best efforts, you have aches and pains you can’t shake. Chiropractic care can help identify joint restrictions and muscle imbalances and guide you toward wellness.

Be Well!
